Economics 185/80J: Value/Support of the Arts

Welcome

This wiki site is an additional resource for students enrolled in Econ 185/80J taught by Professor David E. Kaun at UCSC in the Fall of 2006. The site is intended to provide additional information and resources on the subjects covered by the class and speakers who will be presenting to the class. The site is also a forum for further discussion of the topics raised by the speakers. If you have any questions, difficulties, or suggestions about the wiki site, email the Econ 185/80J website assistant "nicisixx AT yahoo"... (you know the proper email format, but if I don't specify it here, the spammers might not find me).

Course Description

Econ 185 /80J considers the value of the arts in an era of increasing budgetary duress, along with focus on specific funding concerns arising in such an environment. Check out the Syllabus for more information.

How to Use the Wiki

Students in the class are able to edit this wiki to add their comments on particular speakers, post questions that they might have, and add links to any information that they think would be appreciated. To do this you need the password that was given out in class; if you don't remember it e-mail nicisixx AT yahoo or ask in class. To help anyone unfamiliar with the wiki format there is a page with some Instructions.
